Liv Monica B. Stubholt has taken over as Aker Clean Carbon’s Board Chairman. Today, it was also announced that she will serve as Interim President and CEO of Aker Seafoods.

“I have a penchant for taking up challenges. Having worked with Norway’s fisheries industry, I accepted the responsibility of leading Aker Seafoods until the company’s permanent management team is up and running this fall. My enthusiasm for Aker Clean Carbon remains undiminished, and I’m pleased to be the company’s new Board Chairman,” says Liv Monica B. Stubholt.

Stubholt succeeds Martinus Brandal as Board Chairman of Aker Clean Carbon.

Liv Monica B. Stubholt became Interim President and CEO of Aker Seafoods effective today, Tuesday, 2 February 2010. She will head the seafood company for approximately six months. Stubholt will also continue as Aker ASA’s investment manager in charge of Aker’s ownership interest in Aker Clean Carbon.

“My job at Aker Seafoods is to drive efforts that will make the business more robust and future-oriented, to the benefit of the company’s shareholders, employees, customers, working partners, and society at large. Norway, with its carefully managed marine resources offers a good starting point,” says Liv Monica B. Stubholt. “Now, the challenge is to improve value creation in all links and make more of our fish resources.”

Yngve Myhre has resigned as President and CEO of Aker Seafoods. The change in the CEO’s office is related to a decision by the Board of Directors of Aker Seafoods to explore measures that will streamline and further develop the Group in the areas of harvesting, processing, marketing, sales, and distribution.
